I’ve Swallowed the Cover of my Dental Implant, Will it Cause Harm?

Monday, December 15th, 2014
Q.

Hi Mark. The cover for one of my dental implants came off while I was eating and I swallowed it. I am frightened it will cause damage to my stomach or intestines. What do you suggest? This is the second time it has come off, but the first time it just plopped onto my tongue while talking on phone. The dentist I use is awesome but as fate would have it, this is the weekend so the clinic is closed. I got the screws placed about one month ago on the back upper tooth on the right. I have two dental screws on the upper left back and so far have had no trouble with them. Thank you for your time.

I’ve Had Some Teeth Knocked Out. What Can Be Done For Me?

Monday, September 22nd, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Gambroudes, I’m wondering if you can offer me some advice. I had my two front teeth knocked out when I was a child, after falling off my bike. My teeth are now like
grave stones and I’m not happy with how they look. I decided to try and get
them sorted out for my wedding, but the dentist I saw said they could only be done on a palate. They were done for the wedding, but I couldn’t get use to them properly. Since then
I have had another fall and knocked some more teeth out. My wife is on my case to get what she calls ‘proper teeth’ fitted. What can be done, if anything, for me? Thank you in advance.

Hi. My Question Is: Can I Get My Regular Dentist To Fit A Dental Implant?

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Patel. I have a question for you. I have a front tooth that is missing and I really need to get this fixed. There’s another tooth that is also loose and that is about to come out as well. My question is: how much does screw a tooth cost and can a regular dentist do this? How does this work? What I mean is, do I need to have a certain problem other than a missing tooth? Also do you put a person to sleep for this or just use shots to numb the gum area to do the screw in tooth. Any other information you can provide me with would be great. Thank you.

How Long Would It Take To Open A 4mm Space, In Order To Receive A Dental Implant?

Friday, August 9th, 2013
Q.

Hi there, when i was 12 i had braces to open up a space. This space had to be opened up in order to compensate for my missing lateral incisors which had to be replaced with dental implants. Now i am 18 and have been told there is not enough space in the roots to place the actual dental implant and I have been advised to have even more orthodontic treatment, i am just wondering if the braces how long it would take to open up roughly 4mm of space for dental implants to be placed? This work is taking forever, I just want it finished!! I feel like my whole life is on hold! Anyway, thank you very much for your help in advance. – See more at: http://www.cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/blog/can-braces-be-placed-over-an-already-existing-maryland-bridge/#sthash.LDK3WyWa.dpuf

One of my roots is exposed due to my recent implant placement, how can I protect it from further exposure?

Thursday, August 16th, 2012
Q.

hi, I don’t know who to talk to about this so my problem is that one of my roots of one of my teeth has been exposed partially as a result of a bit of an unfortunate incident with a dental implant placement (next to it). This happened in the upper jaw tooth number 4. How can i protect the root from further exposure? Would bonding or resin be suitable? what would be other methods to protect it? As it is a side effect of the surgery I would expect the dental surgeon to cover the cost so do not have to be very tight I would imagine It is just 3 mm long exposure but it does not look very nice and i had the implant done to improve my smile
