Hey, I have a gap in between my two top middle teeth and I’d like it gone, My tooth on the right has a crown on it due to breaking it when I was younger, Would it be possible to get this sorted to get the smile I’ve always wanted? Thanks!

I still have a baby tooth, how could I improve its appearance?

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011
Q.

Hi,

I still have a baby tooth and would like information on cosmetic procedures available to improve the appearance of this. I don’t like the idea of braces, so would ideally prefer a crown or a cap. Is this possible? Also, the gum area around this tooth is slightly lower than my other teeth, so is this something that you would be able to rectify?

Many Thanks

Is there a difference beween metal crowns and metal core ceramic crowns?

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011
Q.

Hi
is there any difference in performance between the NHS metal crowns or a metal core ceramic one, or is it solely appearance? Does more tooth have to be drilled away in either case?

thanks

I have had major dental work done which needs to be redone, what should I do?

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011
Q.

I had veneers and crowns done and the work had to be redone after 1yr. The veneers were all cracked and decay started around the crown. Now it has been 5 month since the last work and the same problems are happening, lickage, decay and gum inflamation. I got a second opinion from a reputable dentist and the work that has to be redone is estimated at $15 000.00. Should the dentist pay for it. I had no problem prior to the cosmetic work. I just wanted my front teeth to be straight the big fillings to be removed. Now I have major problems including rooth infection due to too much drilling.
What should I do? I can’t stay like this. I am constantly in pain.
Thank you.

My new crowns are giving me problems, what can I do?

Thursday, February 24th, 2011
Q.

i recently had porcelin crowns done on teeth 6,7,8,9,10 and11. no. 6 is a little larger and higher than my original tooth and is pointing in a little bit. no. 10 is shaded with a tint of gray ( like my temp was on no.10) the dentist said ,don’t worry your new crown won’t have the grayish tint. BUT it does!! i now have two “black holes” at the gumline between teeth 6,7,and 8. and now smallish gaps between each of my new teeth which lead to alot of saliva that forms in my upper gum area.i did not have this problem before and do not see why after spending the money i did ,why i have it now.i am aware that gum lines receed as you age (56) but, again i did not have any of the “problems” before,so why do i have to accept them now. i am constantly wiping my upper gum to rid of foam and bubbles from the saliva. and this morning i left a phone message with them and asked for an appt. to polish the back of no. 9. they called be back and said the dentist cannot do anything about the “color” of no.9,.she obviously misunderstood my message but said, if you want to replace no.9 due to the grayish tint then you have to pay for it yourself. WHAT GIVES!!!! THANK YOU.
