Hello,

I have recently been told that I need to have a 2 implants fixed for four of my missing teeth. But to be honest I agree with my dentist as I have had a four tooth metal plate for a long time now. I am 50 years old. I went to a private specialist a few weeks ago and have been quoted for placement of two implants at £1,900 and £180 for extraction of broken canine.

In addition the cost for a four unit porcelain bridge is £3,600. In total this comes to £5,580 – which feels a lot for me and is slightly more than what I was expecting to pay. I would like to know if this sounds about right in your opinion?

Many thanks

                                hello Doctor.
question = I grind my teeth while sleeping very badly. My back teeth are worn down too much and my bite is too close which is uncomfortable and gives me headaches.I think I pull my lower jaw backwards to be able to close my back teeth. second problem is because of excessive grinding all my life I have lost most of my teeth and have either crowns or implants. I have a bar of 8 crowns held on by 5 implants at the top front of my mouth. I was never happy with them because the gum at the front shrunk as much that even with the bridge of 8 crowns it still looks like I have no teeth and they are not seen when I speak or smile. when I had my own natural teeth they were all showing at the front when I spoke or smiled. the bridge of crowns that I have just now have become loose and before I get them recemented I wanted to know if its possible to have the whole of the top set of teeth replaced so that they open my mouth more at the back and show more teeth at the front when I smile or speak. hope Ive explained that properly thank you

hi like most people looking for some advise on my next step with my teeth..this is the story..I lost my front tooth when i was a teenager, then i had a poorly made bridge fitted this lasted for about 6 years till i took a boot in the mouth playing football then had another tooth worn down and new ( poorly) fitted bridge put in. i now have another one and in all i now have 5 missing teeth under the bridge..i really hate the look of it and its never felt right in my mouth it was a nhs job so i no it was never gonna be the best but i expected better than what was actually fitted. implants sound good put at about 2500 per tooth i could not afford to spend 12500 putting it right is this the correct price?.. or could you tell me what other opitions would be availble to me. really need to get this sorted asap many thanks

I had two lava bridges placed on my front teeth earlier this year because I was missing a tooth on either side (they never grew in). The bridge on the left side looks perfect but the one on the right has started to look slightly grey. I am very careful about taking care of my teeth everyday. What would cause this and can it be corrected? The other thing I have noticed since the bridge on the right was placed is that it doesn’t feel like it is on the tooth right. I can feel a small part of my tooth between the bridge and my gum line. Could this be the cause?

I have yellow stained and cracked teeth from a childhood of candy and soda pop, and now I am 28 years old and eating has become a worst nightmare for me. As I eat I feel little segments of my teeth while I am chewing as if I am eating glass. I have already had 4 extractions- because I am on public aid but I am wondering isn’t there a way I could get my teeth shaven down and then fitted with a fixed dental bridge? I have watched tons of bridge videos and I am just wondering if it could be done or in the missing spaces in my mouth couldn’t I get a mini implant in there and then the fixed bridge added or is it too much work to handle doing it this way? If you have any ideas on what I can do please feel free to let me know. thank you for your time
