I want 2 front teeth straightened with invsalign

Monday, June 30th, 2008
Q.
I am looking to have my two front teeth straightened as they protrude slightly. I paid for an assessment for invisalign to be told I was in the ’severe category’ and it would take two and a half years due to the position of my jaw, and the way my teeth fit together. I am now thinking of having crowns but seems very drastic. Are there any other alternatives, i.e. normal braces or would I have the same problems as with Invisalign?

My teeth are black and I don't want a crown

Monday, June 30th, 2008
Q.
I am 25 yrs lady. I had an accident and front 3 teeth got fractured .I had root canal done that time (10yrs back ) and teeth bonding done on 2 of the teeth . After 2-3 yrs all the three teeth started getting black. I did’t consult doctor after that .Few days back i went to doc and without checking anything he said that its better u go for Crown. I am not mentally prepared for crown because i don’t want to grind my teeth. Is it ok if i would go for bonding again or veener ? Doctor says that crown keep the teeth strong. Is it the fact ? What is the problem if i go for Veener? Please suggest me something ..i really don’t want to go for crown.

I have gum sensitivity with dental crowns

Saturday, June 28th, 2008
Q.
I appear to have some gum issues/sensitivity in relation to six crowns i have had fitted 4 years ago (replaced due to containing metal) to conceal tetracycline unsightly staining. What kind of dentist could assist me with a new set of crowns which might be biocompatible and kind to gums. Also…is it possible to develop breathing problems from a recently discovered tooth abscess. I am 43 and urgently need a good dentist conversant with the latest dental technologies.

my gums are receeding and crowns dropping do i need new crowns

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008
Q.
Hello i would like some advice regarding replacing crowns i had 4 crowns fitted about 20 years ago i had no problems with them , but i had new ones fitted about 5 years ago due to receding gums, after about 6 months one of the crowns seemed to be dropping, i was told this was the root of the tooth. it has continued to drop, i changed dentists and was told i should not have been given new crowns as i have a gum disease i would have to have a plate. i have changed dentists again and was told i need new crowns i am worried the tooth will drop again would i be wasting my money on crowns or was the other dentist right and i should have a plate?

I would apreciate some advice as i really dont know what is the right decision to make , i dont want to pay out a lot of money and 6 months down the line be in the same situation. many thanks for your time in replying to my question

My crowns fell off I wear dentures and have gum shrinkage

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008
Q.
Hello, I am a 52 yr old woman and my life is being ruined by the state of my mouth. I have always had problems with my teeth, and over the years have had Crowns and a Bridge fitted.. The Crowns repeatedly fell off likewise The Bridge was always coming loose. Finally I gave up returning every few weeks to the dentist. Consequently my mouth is now in a disgusting state. I wear an upper denture which has 2 front teeth on it(This was originally made as a temporary measure whilst waiting for Crowns ) and i have one remaining crown on a back tooth. In my lower mouth i have 6 remaining teeth, they are all extremly badly decayed and need removing. My lower gum is very flat due to years of shrinkage i suppose. I am not sure what can be done in the way of Dentures . I realise this is my own fault and would give anything to have my teeth back. I just want to smile once more with an open mouth . Many Thanks for reading this and i feel better for just sending it.I’m finally addressing this terrible problem C
