Hello Mark. I’d really like to know if you can help me as I have an extremely small mouth. It is about 4.5-5cm wide when I relax it. This makes me extremely self-conscious all the time, and I really despise my face because of this. I cannot do a natural ‘toothy smile’ as it always looks way too forced, but even my closed mouth smile looks awfully small. Is there any kind of procedure or surgery that can be done to make my mouth bigger/wider, or anything I can wear or do? Thank you in advance.

Hello Dr Patel. I am 25 years old and I have really bad crooked teeth an I am so desperate to have them done. I did have the chance when I was 16 to have them done but I was so scared and young it didn’t matter to me back then. I am older now and have realised what a bad mistake I made. I am really cautious and I never smile, it makes me feel down at times. I don’t have the cost to pay for it all at once, but I would be able to pay monthly. Hi there Dr Patel. I hope you can help me. I have always wanted, for reasons relating to fashion, a gold front tooth in the form of a crown either on the whole tooth or a rim surrounding the tooth.
Is this something you offer, or can you give me advice as to which cosmetic dentists specialise in this? Perhaps you yourself could offer this treatment? I live in North London but travel is of course not really an issue!

Hi Riten. I’ve had one of my back molars removed three years ago (I don’t believe it should have been removed as the dentist failed to perform a root canal and decided to remove it). That being said the molar next to it has had root canal treatment. My question is how can this tooth be protected and can it be retreated with a ‘new’ root canal? My dentist thinks it won’t last more than another 2/3 years as an estimate and has suggested capping it? I am looking for a more long term solution. I am 32. The other side is fine and usable with minor fillings.

I have a severe over bite (where the first set of teeth overlap the bottom set completely) because of this both sets of teeth go inwards. My teeth are generally straight however the problem is that both sets need pushing out and my over bite needs to be addressed. I have previously been advised (about 2 years ago) that I am not suitable for Invisalign and that I will indeed need train tracks for about 18 months – 2 years. Is this something you can assist with? I am happy to have train tracks if needed, however I do not want them to be overly visible if that’s okay? Ideally I would like to get booked in ASAP to start treatment.
