Do you think my son should have his chipped tooth crowned?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010
Q.

my 12yr old son had an accident, and had his front tooth knocked out. He’s had root canal work done but I think it needs crowning as it chipped. His dentist has said that will be a waist of time because when he’s older he will have an implant. Do you think he should crown it?

Is composite bonding aesthetically and durably the best choice when restoring chipped teeth?

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010
Q.

My 7 year old bumped heads today with a classmate and one upper front tooth and two lower front teeth have been chipped. We have been to the dentist who has said it is only enamel which has been chipped and they are confident there are no fractures, The lower teeth are too sensitive at present to bond with composite filling – it will have to wait til next week. I cannot help but feel saddened that he has chipped his permanent second teeth, Is the composite material hard wearing, natural looking and the best option at present? I need a positive opinion on this if possible, thanks.

Are crowns a good option in order to correct gaps in my teeth?

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010
Q.
Am i making a mistake by crowning my front teeth to close gap, in my area there is no such thing as cosmetic dentistry. since i have done it and cannot be undone, it chipped a bit five years ago and i am having a hard time restoring it ,people in my town says i am a fake and start avoiding me. I am now living in shame and people start to says unkind words to hurt me, I am helpless and hopeless.,

Would composite or a crown be best to treat slightly broken tooth?

Thursday, October 7th, 2010
Q.
Hello, One of my teeth (in France, it is called Tooth no:16) broke slightly on the outside. Would you say that a repair in composite to be ok. Or would you recommend a crown? What would be a good estimate for the whole job? The existing tooth has an amalgam filling & it will need an inlay core. Could I send you a photo of the tooth and the X-ray??? Thank you.,
