I Have Slight Overcrowding In My Upper And Lower Arch. Could You Recommend Anyone Who Offers Discounts For Students?

Friday, August 1st, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Patel. Thank you for your interesting website and all the information offered. I am a full-time student and would like my teeth straightened. I have slight overcrowding in upper and lower arch. I am interested in having ceramic braces fitted. Can you recommend anyone who offers discount for students? Are there any other treatment options which might be useful to me? Thank you for your time. Kind regards.

My dentist offered me a ceramic brace but I feel a lingual brace would be better, what do you think?

Q.

Hi I recently went to a consultation and i have and few very small gaps that i want to closed and i was also told that i have a slight over bite. She said that i need top and bottom braces. When asked if I could have the clear Invisalign brace she told me that they wouldn’t do a good job to correct my teeth but didn’t say why . She offered for me to have the ceramic brace, because of the fact I really don’t want them to show. But I think I would prefer the lingual braces instead, would they work just as good, and how much would they be also including the clear removable retainer ? Thank you for your time!

How can I decide whether to have ceramic braces or an inman aligner?

Monday, March 7th, 2011
Q.

Hi,
I used to have fixed metal braces in my teens and over the last few years, my front right tooth has moved forward with the one to the right of it moving behind it. I recently visited a dentist to look at options and was told that that best option would be ceramic fixed braces on the front 6 teeth. i was told that the inman aligner could also be an option but would be bulkier in my mouth. I would appreciate your opinion on this and how long you think the ceramic braces would take.
Many thanks

How much will lingual and ceramic braces cost for two year treatment?

Friday, January 7th, 2011
Q.

Hi,

I am on the NHS waiting list for orthognathic surgery but I have decided to have to braces part done privately. The whole process is expected to take 2 years, could you advise me as to how much lingual and cermamic braces are likely to cost for this period? I have tried ringing orthodontists but most seem too preoccupied to get me in for a £100 consultation rather than giving me an indication of price.

Can I have discreet clear braces on my bottom teeth?

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010
Q.

I’m 23 years old and I’m having braces fitted in a few weeks. I discussed with my orthodontist about having Radiance brackets. I though these would be on the upper and lower teeth but I’ve just found out that they can’t do them on the lower, why is this? Can anything be done to make the metal brackets on the lower teeth look less noticeable? Wont it look silly having clear on the top and metal on the bottom.

Could I have ceramic braces placed on my top teeth and metal braces attched to my bottom teeth?

Thursday, November 18th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr, I’d like to wear ceramic braces, but my dentist say that because when I bite my bottom teeth go behind my top ones, they could damage my top teeth. My question is: should i wear metal braces at the bottom and ceramic at the top? Thank you,
