About a week ago I had a molar in my top jaw removed

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008
Q.
Dear Dr Suri About a week ago I had a molar in my top jaw removed – since then the tooth infront of it (the incisor i think) has been giving me some discomfort when i eat. I fear it may have been loosened / damaged during the extraction. What should I do from here? Also I would like to consider having a dental implant in the extracted site and would like more info on costs, procedure etc. Many thanks,

after extractions now done I do not have sufficient bone width for implants

Friday, December 5th, 2008
Q.
I have been told after extractions now done that I do not have sufficient bone width for implants without bone grafting and also need sinus lifts to accomodate the pegs/posts. Would so called “blade” retained implants overcome this problem thanks

Thursday, December 4th, 2008
Q.
I knocked my four front top out approximately 6 months ago during an epileptic fit and i have since been wearing dentures. Does the amount of time since the injury have any bearing as to whether implants are possible? Thank you for your time.

I wear an upper denture at the moment and aged 31

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008
Q.
Hi there I wear an upper denture at the moment, and aged 31 this isnt ideal. I have looked into dental implants before but have been advised twice now that I have so little bone underneath the gum that I will need bone grafts taken from my hip. Im not too sure that I want bone taken from anywhere else and also the £40k price tag will also be an issue for me. I am at the stage now where I am not even leaving the house, and when Im taking the children to school, I dont even step out of the car. I am on anti-depressants longterm due to this also. It is significantly affecting my life and I’m investigating every area of hope at the moment. I already can feel how loose my denture has become recently and know I am on borrowed time with those, so really am desperate. Any advice you could give me would be fantastic. Many thanks x

My husband one week ago had a 6 tooth bridge

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008
Q.
My husband one week ago had a 6 tooth bridge(front teeth) put in. There are gaps at the top of the teeth. He had bone disease due to an injury when he was young. Is there any thing that can be done, we are discussing a partial so he would not have the gaps when he smiles. He has a gummy smile and was very upset having 4 teeth pulled and two crowns and his top of his teeth look bad and he talks like he has a mouth gaurd in! Thank you for your help!
