Should I Use an Oral Irrigation System?

Q.
I have had several crowns in for 7 years, and am in the process of having 3 implants where I had a bridge.

I am always having to use inter-dental brushes and floss, but don’t seem to be able to get all the debris out from between my teeth. My gums are healthy but have started to shrink away from my crowns a little. Would it be safe to use one of the recommended oral irrigation systems, or would it make my gums recede more?

A.
Hi, thank you for getting in touch. Yes it should be safe, but please ask the advice of your dentist as he/she knows your personal situation in detail. Kind regards, Mark.
