Should I have lava crowns?

Q. I had root canal treatment on my front tooth but all the root could not be removed the dentist showed me this on xray. The tooth was discoloured and I had veneers on both front teeth which looked good. The tooth is now discoloured again and the dentist explained that it was the dead root reflecting through and has suggested lava crowns.Could the same happen if I had the lava crowns.,
A. Lava crowns are more opaque and often can hide a dark tooth underneath

As far as i am aware, Lava is really just a stronger type of porcelain which contains no metal so is good for strong aesthetic crowns.
