Should I have ‘caps’ and braces on my teeth to make them less child-like?

Q.
Hi, my question regards nhs vaneers/caps, I have two teeth missing at the front, top. The teeth between my two front teeth and my canine on both sides, past dentists have have said it seems i never had the adult ones, Also they said I could have a brace or caps for cosmetic reasons but at the time i was 14 and worried, im still a student and wondered now i am older and have had time to reflect is it still possible as my teeth look childlike,
thankyou for your time.

It sounds like orthodontic correction combined with either dental implants and/or some porcelain dental work, such as veneers, would be the best thing to give you the smile you want. The NHS is extremely limited in what it can provide for you and you should seek the advice of a good cosmetic dentist and orthodontist to find out what treatments would be best for you. If you’re over 18 then you’d have to have private treatment and it may be the route to take for the best aesthetic result

Would you kindly let me know the cost of veneers, please? I’ve been reading about MacVeneers, Lumineers, Da Vinci Veneers, Cerec… it’s difficult to know which is best. Is the 30% off Smile Makeovers still available, if so, what is a typical fee. Also, may I know the cost of Zoom whitening. I have had ME and no income, so must consider cost. I am rebuilding my life andnow my smile! With many thanks and best wishes

Partner needs porcelain caps replaced after thirty years, he is 45 now. Had them due to accident when a child. He also needs them straightened ideally with a brace and has been quoted £3000. Is this soundsing correct. He could alternatively just have the caps done at a £1000 each. Do the prices sound ok and where do you go for quotes

I would seek the expert advice of a cosmetic dentist who can help you with a suitable solution and associated fees. The BACD is a good source where you can find a cosmetic dentist in your area. Regards
