Should I get my teeth whitened before I get my crown fitted?

i have a crown at the front of my teeth that needs replacing but i was considering having my teeth whitened would it be best to have the crown replaced before i have them whitened or after. i also hav e a tooth that has had a filling that has a slight crack and my dentist suggests having a plastic coating of some sort over it because he says the tooth would crumble if he drilled it anymore would a crown be better. thankyou for any help.

It will be best to whiten the teeth first (with professional tray whitening) then replace the crown and match it to the new colour

You can’t whiten crowns you have to replace them they do not stain or respond to bleach!

I recommend a dentist to asses you before treatment and be able to use a safe and effective treatment.

If you have a crown and want your teeth whitened, whiten your teeth to the desired shade then get your dentist to replace your crown with one that matches the shade of your newly whitened teeth.. CROWNS DO NOT WHITEN!! THEY ARE MADE OF PORCELAIN!! Hope this helps! 🙂

I currently have whitened teeth and am thinking of upgrading to emax veneers or crowns in the future for cosmetic reasons. Would these whitened teeth create a problem for a top 8 – 10 makeover when determining a final shade due to gradual fading.
