Should I get a fixed or permanent retainer?

Hi, I am into my 7th month of 6 month smiles treatment. My dentist is telling me that he is going to fit a permanent bonded retainer behind my teeth after treatment. I haven’t been given a choice of wearing a removable retainer. My main concern is that I will no longer be able to floss. Should I be able to opt for a removable, or is it better to have a permanent bonded retainer fitted?

Its your choice a removable means fitting it every night were a bonded is in permanently. the pay off being that cleaning is slightly more difficult. Either solution works well though.

I wear my retainer everynight, but I will be going in for surgery, is it okay not to wear it for one night.
