Should a veneer be a different colour to my natural teeth?
Q.
Is it normal for a composite veneer done on one tooth to differ in colour from the natural teeth? I had a composite veneer done on one of my front teeth and partly on the other, and the composite veneer looks somewhat artificial and more yellow than my natural teeth.

I was told by an experienced cosmetic dentist that this is normal that composite differs from the natural teeth and that my teeth look natural and that I should not change anything.
In fact he did not want to make the changes I asked because he did not want to drill my teeth and did not see a reason to do it.
But still my teeth don’t look natural to me and I am doubting if I should change anything or leave it as is.

I would need to see you in person to be able to answer your question accurately. Sometimes it’s impossible to match a composite veneer with a natural tooth and often in these cases we veneer both teeth to make them identical. Without actually seeing you or reviewing your dental records it’s difficult to comment on your exact situation. You could always go for a second opinion?
