Possible failed root canal, loose crown and cavity under it

Q. I have a possible failed root canal in #19 molar, root canal done over 5 years ago, i have not had x-rays in 4 yrs and my hygienist feels the crown is loose may have cavity under it. Set up appt for x-rays, no swelling, woke up with tooth aching but no swelling.. Can I wait till my appt 1 week away? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi , 9 months ago a dentist tryed to extract one of my upper teeth, he was unsuccesful in doing so and broke my tooth in half telling me i would have to go to hospital to have it removed, meanwile i visited my nhs hospital emergency dentist who told me the tooth should never have been removed as there was nothing wrong with it, the dentist did a root canal treatment and saved the tooth fitting a crown,, unfortunatly the dentist has left and my crown has became loose, the dentist who has now taken over took my crown out cemented it back in again without cleaning the inside of the canal to remove the old cement, the crown did not fit back properly and was touching my bottom tooth and lower than had been before i also have a gap in between my crown and next tooth. the dentist said this was normal ? unfortunatly the tooth has become loose again after 48 hours. i think the crown did not fit back properly due to the old cement still inside, could this be possible or is there another explanation, i still think she should have cleaned it all out before fitting it back in.. Thank you
