Q. I have a possible root fracture in tooth number 19. I had silver points removed in 2006 and a new root canal. Now I have pressure discomfort and a bump on buccal side of tooth. My Dentist said it might be a root fracture and referred me to Oral Surgeon. I have had 3 root canal procedures on this tooth. 1 in 1973, 1 in 1980 and then the one in 2006. Please advise on what I should do at this point.
A. If you have a root fracture then reoval of the tooth and replacement, perhaps with a dental implant might be your best long-term option
