Hi there. My two front upper teeth are a little crooked. The left is overlapping the right tooth. The rest of my teeth are pretty straight upper and lower. It’s only the front two that are bothering me. I’ve been for a consultation at my local dentist and was recommended six month braces, but I want to avoid wired braces. After looking around I’m considering Simpli5 and wanted your opinion and a rough idea how much they would cost. Thank you.
Good morning. I currently have six porcelain veneers which were fitted 25 years ago. They need replacing but because my gums have receded considerably, I have a very sensitive mouth and gums. I would like Lumineers without the pain of drilling my current veneers off and preparing the teeth. Can Lumineers be fitted over current veneers or do they have to be removed?
Hi, I have some tooth enamel loss in one of my front teeth, and a little of the other front tooth. I’d like to know, would teeth whitening whiten and cover up the enamel loss area affected, or would I need to consider veneers? My teeth otherwise are straight and no cracks or problems with them, just some obvious enamel loss in my front teeth. Hello. I have an overbite. It is rather bad on my top teeth and my bottom teeth are crowed and not straight at all – one tooth overlaps another slightly. Will this six month brace thing work for me? My gums on my bottom teeth, mainly on the one that overlaps slightly, are moving down a lot so my tooth looks longer. It’s starting to be painful sometimes, I really need this sorted. I herd that this six month brace helps a lot and doesn’t show that much, which will be a big help with my work and social life, but if this will not be helpful for me I don’t want to waste my time looking into it. Does this help everyone or people with my problems, and will it help me? What’s the likely costs and how long do you think it will take to make my teeth normal? Thank you.
Hello, I had a Sure Smile teeth whitening treatment performed with UV light with some gel, first for 15 minutes and then 30 minutes afterwards. My teeth were very sensitive and I had a major headache. Also the goggles appear to have burnt the side of my face, is this legal? I said my teeth were lacking enamel. It even hurts to chew. My friend had hers done and she is fine. I wish I hadn’t bothered, has this happened before? Thank you in advance.
We are just an ordinary run of the mill family with a 14 year old son. He took a bad knock on his two front teeth during a football practice session last year. There are now black marks on these teeth. Our dentist wasn’t worried by these when she saw him a couple of months later, but I think they are permanent, and they are bothering him. I have a gap in between my front two teeth due to ulcerated gingivitis, which has now cleared up. I’ve noticed that my gum has shrunk away from my teeth and sometimes they hurt when I bite crusty bread or an apple. One of my front teeth has moved slightly forward as well. I’ve just had a partial denture fitted today for three of my front teeth – replacing a fallen-out bridge. I first had a bridge fitted 40 odd years ago (I’m now 50), had it replaced twice under the NHS, the last time 10 years ago as I fell over and broke the bridge. I have now been told I can only get a replacement bridge for £1,200 as the root of one of the teeth is broken and I would need root canal and other procedures. I understand it may take some time to get used to, but the palate part of the denture seems quite bulky and covers large parts of the inside of my side teeth as well. Is that normal? Or does that mean it’s too big? Just a bit concerned this might cause infection in my other teeth.
