Q. Hi, I have a traditional bridge (front) with a dummy affixed to a crown on each side. It has been there about 10 years and has been fine. Recently one of the crowns has now come loose and a dentist has told me he wants to cut the dummy on one side and replace the crown (so making the original crown on the other side with the dummy a cantilever I guess?) Is this really the best solution – I thought replacing the
whole bridge would be stronger and better for the long term. Thanks for any help!
A. I personally would replace the whole bridge but this is definitley an option worth considering
