New dentists tells me I have had root canal treatment in the past. I didn’t know this. Is he correct?

Q.
Hello Dr Rob Tennet. I have a question for you so I sincerely hope you have time to answer it for me. I have recently joined a new practice and they have told me i have had root treatment to 2 teeth, I am not aware of this and I’m sure I would have know.
Both the teeth in question have had there fillings redone, 1 because I asked for it to be redone as the filling was turning brown, and the other I can’t remember why as it was a long time ago. Will he be correct in saying that i have had root treatment carried out, if I hadn’t been informed. everytime I have had fillings they have all been the same nothing different has been done. He has taken x-rays.

Dear enquirer. In some cases the nerve in a tooth can end up dieing slowly without pain, a slow growing abscess may form that shows up on an Xray before you suffer from pain or swelling.
Hope this helps you in your case.
