my wisdom tooth is loose australia

Q. Hi Doctor, and I am a single Mum two. I live in Melbourne Australia, I went to the dentist for the first time in years (like most people, I simply could not afford it) and was told I had gum disease, my lower back tooth nest to my wisdom tooth is loose and he also said I have it on the opposite side up the top. I have been flossing daily and and using a mouth wash, will I loose this tooth eventually or can I save it and the ones surrounding it if I keep up great hygene? I’m never going to be able to afford implants in the future, please help, I am really frightened. Thank you so much for your time. Kind Regards

A. hi many thanks for your enquiry, gum disease is caused by may factor, poor oral hyigiene, stress, hereditary, smoking so these are the factors you need to look at and try to improve but regualrly seeing a dentist and hyigienist will ensure your teeth have the best chance. hope this is helpful.
