Hi I was wanting to get an idea of your costs for general dentistry. I am having problems with my bottom right back tooth (think Wisdom). It has been coming up for a couple of years now and when it does gives me great pain and I would like to see someone to get advice on whether I should have it removed. Can you please tell me the cost of a consultation and wisdom tooth removal as well as a general teeth clean.

I would like to enquire about your services. Do you charge for a consultation? I used to wear braces years ago but my teeth have moved and there is minor crowding. Also do you do ordinary dental work, as in check ups, fillings (if needed) etc.?

im concerned about my wisdom tooth, its has been pushing for the past few years, recently, it has become very painful and my gum is very inflamed. It looks as though it’s growing into my cheek. I currently do not have a dentist, but am awaiting my first appointment. Im wondering, should I wait until my appointment in one month for a check, or visit an emergency practise?,

Try the regular dentist for an emergency appointment.

Hello, Ive got 2 wisdom teeth growing on the bottom of my mouth. I am getting frequent infection (about once a month) which involves soreness and redness of the gums and also ive got small cyst type lumps on both sides of my jaw and also one on my eyebrow, these also flare up frequently and tend to swell and i wonder if they are related to my teeth. My dentist keeps telling me to keep the area clean and use an antibacterial mouthwash which i do however the infection still keeps returning. Ive also noticed a permanent bad taste in my mouth particularly in the morning and also im certain that my breath is offensive which is causing confidence problems, please advise! thank you in great anticipation.

I would get the teeth removed if you keep getting infections although I don’t think that this is causing the cyst on your eyebrow

Do go back to your dentist so they can check if it is the remnants of the wisdom tooth infection or something else.

Its difficult to advise you but if you’re having a general anaesthetic in hospital have them out in one go if your surgeon advises your suitable. If its under local have them out one side at a time

You won’t need replacements for extracted wisdom teeth, they don’t affect your function when removed

This is quite common after wisdom tooth removal due to swelling in the muscles of the face. It normally subsides after 3-4 weeks.

The same place where my wisdom tooth was removed two years ago suddenly got moderately painful this last week. I have a dental pick and was using it to probe around back there and noticed that the inside of the jaw has a bump and is white at the tip. At first i thought it may be an abcess, but when i poked it i noticed that it was bone. The whole lower left side of my face is starting to really hurt. Could it be just that the bone has grown out and just needs to be shaven down? Both sides of the face on the inside of the lower jaw has this bump, but only the right side hurts. Also, the last molar has a crown.

It could be a piece of dead bone with an infection. Go to your dentist and ask him to take a look perhaps with an x-ray

I believe i have an infection with one of my wisdom teeth. It’s about half way through coming all the way through. I expected some pain, but this is excrusiating. Its so sensitive when i brush and it feels like the whole side of my mouth is throbbing! It bleeds regulalry and sometimes i get a bad tasting substance in my mouth that im sure is coming from the tooth. Is there any help you can get with this even though its only halfway through coming out? Thanks!

Dalia Says :

YOu can go to a dentist and get the area flushed out as it is usually caused by things getting under the gum. If there is room for the tooth to come through then you have to just play a waiting game and hope that it pushes through soon. If there is limited room then you may want to consider extracting the tooth and saving yourself the future problems.

Now I am getting a similar pain but painkillers don’t seem to be working and I don’t know why I am getting this pain, do you have any ideas? Is it normal?
