My veneers are constantly coming off, why does this happen?

Q.
I had two veneers when I was 16 years old because my big teeth either side of my front teeth never came through. These I had until recently with no problems. One side of my lower teeth I do have an over bite so one of the veneers was shorter though I can live with this. 2 months ago I had then redone to improve colour and straighten them slightly but I have been back several times now as they keep coming out. The dentist has had one of the veneers remade and prepared the tooth differently (this is the tooth which has no overbit) but again today it has come out eating a soft chocolate bar. Obviously I am very self conscious of them now and so disappointed. What would you suggest and why would these not be staying in.
Thank you
A.
Its normally a bite issue but that doesn’t sound like the case for you. Perhaps you need more coverage of the tooth to get a better bond?

When you say more coverage for a better bond, do you think a cap would be a better option?
