Q. I have a loose implant which on X ray today shows I have a bone infection, is there anyway this can be treated other than removing the implant. Would it really need to be removed for 3 months, mortified
A. If the implant is loose it will need removing before you lose too much bone. Sometimes it is possible to replace the implant at the same time or if the infection is severe wait 3-6 months prior to placing the new implant
If the implant is near the front ask your dentist for a temporary solution such as an adhesive bridge while it heals.

i lost my remaininh teetrh 4 weeks ago. I am still swollen, find eating (mushing) food di99ficult and painful. the pain level grows to about an 8 out 10 by late afternoon. i am not able to keep the bottem plate in because the surgeon fears we kill the bone aro9und the implant. the top fit fairly well except my mouth appears very “full of tongue” & the plate although for a small mouth needs a thinner choice on plate material. i am now waiting toothl4essly forsome help. everyone aqppears a little stunned. I am no longer so confident.
any comments appreciated. if i just not patient enough that would help knowing that. if it is time to get an addional opinionas i continue to run low grade 99.7f temp & know2 I am fqailing to concentrate
