My teeth have relapsed after braces, what should I do?
Q.
Hi.
I have had braces for around 2 years, and they were taken off last June….
I wear my retainer every night without fail. Recently though, my top 2 front teeth have begun to separate, so it looks like there is a little hole between the two teeth at the top. When I had braces, my front two teeth didn’t have a problem, it was other teeth.
Will I have to have braces again to fix this? Are there other ways this can be dealt with?
I am so unhappy because I take really good care of my teeth, no fillings or anything, is there anything I can do to close the gap??
Wearing my retainers don’t seem to reduce the problem…

You might need to have the gap closed again then ask to have a fixed retainer to prevent this problem.

I recently got my braces off and have a bonded retainer on my top and bottom teeth. Do these retainers break easily or any tips on breaking them and also do I have to get them replaced in a set period of time?
