My Teeth Have Pushed Forward Through Sucking My Thumb. What Can Be Done To Bring Them Into Line Without A Brace?

Q.
My front two teeth are angled forward, as if pushed out due to sucking my thumb too much and the two teeth at either side of those are too small and sit slightly back. These are the only four teeth with which I have a problem. What can be done to bring them into line without a brace? I hate the shape of the four teeth and would like them replaced, are crowns the best option or would a dental bridge be suitable? And what would be the expected price? Thank you for taking the time to reply to me.

Hello and thank you for writing in. If they are too far forward then doing anything to bring them back in line that is not moving them, but cutting them back, could risk hitting the nerves of the teeth. I’d have to see the situation in person to know how high that risk is. If you’d like to take a moment to search this website you can find more information on the various treatments which may be of help to you. Kind regards, Mark.
