My Teeth Are Coming Forward And I Don’t Want Braces. Is There Anything I Can Do At Home To Stop Them Moving?

Q.
Hello sir. My teeth are coming forward. They are not really visible now but I want to stop put a stop to this now. I don’t have the habit of closing my lips also. I don’t want to get braces and I am 15 years old. Please tell me how to get this corrected? I think this problem is happening because I don’t keep my lips closed so the teeth are coming forward. I want some home methods in order to get corrected them. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. The movement of your teeth will not be down to keeping your mouth closed. Perhaps you have adult teeth emerging that is pushing them out of place. I would highly advice you to reconsider any DIY dentistry, going down this path will likely cause you a great deal of pain. Take the time to visit a dentist you feel comfortable with and they may be able to help you. Without seeing you in person it is difficult to advise which treatments are suitable for a case such as yours. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Dr Marcus Gambroudes.
