Q. My 9 year old lad has chipped his front tooth after hitting a wall. He jhas lost about 25% of the tooth and is in no real pain. He does however find it sharp when inhaling through his mouth and painful when cold fluid hits it. What is the best course of action to take? It is his 2nd tooth so no more to come through. As his father, I am quite anxious. Regards
A. You should get the missing part of the tooth replaced with tooth coloured filling to maintain the space & appearance. It should be possible to bond to the tooth directly without drilling or injections on most cases.
