My son has three rotten milk teeth, will they fall out naturally or should I seek treatment?

Q. hello my son who is three has three rotten milk teeth at the top which may be the result of night time breast feeding.he also had a thick layer of yellow on them before they rotted.can you please tell me if they will fall out natually or do you suggest treatment. ,
A. You need to get him checked by a dentist as the teeth may need to be remove das they could damage the adult teeth.

The baby teeth can start to fall out any time from the age of 5years to 7 years, so don’t be alarmed, but do go and get your daughter to have a check up and x rays with your dentist.

My 4 years and 10 months old daughter has decays on her baby teeth at least in total 8 D/E’s and 4 upper front teeth (maybe 2 more). We consulted a few dentists, but under NHS, practically total extraction of 12 (up to 14) teeth under general anesthesia is the only option (other than treat one by one with local aneathtesia injection) . We Japaese usually never get this kind of treatment in Japan, and usually try to restore baby teeth with filling, sometime under sedation (nitrous oxide.) We are concerned thatalignment of adult teeth may be affected by total extraction of baby teeth. We believe that infection on baby teeth would not affect adult teeth, too. Does your center offer, under private practice, either or both of the following treatments? A) Filling or root canal under sedation (nitrous oxide)even for 4-5 years old kids and restore as much as possible. B) If the above A) is not an opiton, treat the one most significant decay in a lower backteeth with filling or roo t canal for now (desirably under sedation), andwatchfully wait for other teeth. I appreciate your advice. Sincerely yours

My 3 year old daughter fell and knocked out one of her front teeth, I wanted to know if I can get a space maintainer with false tooth made for her, and if this is even advisable? the missing tooth is noticable, and I am worried about the spacing of her adult tooth as she is so young to have lost a baby tooth. Thanks,

My three year old son has dental defects his teeth come out with brownish coloration. I was told it cannot be repaired since they are birth defects due to some medicines the mother took when she was pregnant. I believe theremust be a cure. Hope you can help.

A friend of mines 6 yr old daughter recently had a cycling accident and her two upper front adult teeth were knocked out. We are aware that implants, bridges are not an option until her jaw stops growing, but is there anything at all that be done to fill the gap until she’s older? She is older and wiser than her years and absolutely beside herself worrying about how her peers will treat her. Hope theres something you can suggest.

Sorry to hear about your friend’s daughter. Yes, I would suggest a removable brace (which isn’t actually moving any teeth) with two false teeth on it (a bit like a denture) but would look like she was having orthodontics. Best of luck

My almost three year old fell and hit his face on concrete. His pediatric dentist took x-rays said his tooth is fractured below the gumline and we should let it fall out naturally. He said that it may fall out early, but now a month after the visit (about 6 months since the incident) it has started shifting and is overlapping his other front tooth. Should the tooth be removed since it has started migrating?
