My root has split and has gotten infected do i have any choice other than extraction?
Q. I have an existing root canal in tooth #31. The root has split and has gotten infected. I am on antibiotics. I do not want to lose the tooth since I am 60 years old. Do I have any choices other than extractions?
A. If the root has split then there is a good chance the tooth will need removing, ask your dentist for more detailed options and what they can do if the tooth does need removing.
