My new silver fillings tastes metalic should I be worried?
Q. Dear Rob, I have just had a silver filling frmo my local NHS dentist. In fact I’ve had three – I knew about two but it looks to me like I have had a third added onto one of my other teeth. The third filling tastes slightly metalic as I run my tongue over it. My dentist had to reshape the filling in the next tooth – otherwise nothing else of note happened. Do I need to get the metalic taste checked out? Many thanks!!!
A. It should resolve within a few days otherwise get it reviewed

silver fillings is very toxic. It contains 50% MERCURY and 50% of other metal materials. Mercury in the mouth is very dangerous and poisenous. You should be very concern about the metalic tasteing in your mouth. I think the nhs should give us a choice as to what kind of filling we want. Just do some research on silver fillings you will be shock. I’m a mum with six kids who’s at the moment need 5 fillings. There is no way I can put silver filling in my mouth after 8 years of research of it. Since NHS don’t provide it and I can’t afford I’ve been asking family and friends for money to loan so I can get the white filling done. Your health comes first. NHS should make everyone happy by giving us a choice or even letting us a percentage of the white filling.
