Q. my husband has recently (a week ago) had a crown on a rear back tooth.he is having a lot of pain from hot/cold food & drinks & cannot eat comfortably on it. He will not let me ring the dentist to go back as he thinks the only option would be to have it removed & start again. Is this what you think is the only option

A. It may be the tooth needs a root canal treatment.  this means the tooth has an ifection and the pain will get a lot worse.  I would strongly advise going back to your dentist asap.
