My Gums Have Started To Recede, What Can I Do About This?

Q.
Hi, I was just wondering if there is any new treatment or some sort of treatment that can be used to cover my teeth when the gums have receded? Some of my gum has receded quite badly and i was wondering if there was any cosmetic treatment that could be used on teeth so as not to expose so much of the teeth which have already become sensitive? I don’t know where to start looking and I don’t even know if this type of treatment even exists so I would very much appreciate your advice. If you know how you could point me in the right direction that would be great. I don’t even know if this is a dental matter? With it being my gums? Is there some sort of specialist I will have to visit instead? Thank you in advance.

Yes there are excellent grafting techniques available these days – you should see a specialist periodontist who is experienced in these techniques. We have two in our practice if you’d like to come and see one for an examination and consultation
