Q. Hi there, Im 27 and having a nightmare with my teeth, I havnt been to the dentist in over 3 years because my husbands salary went up and we are no longer entitled to it free. Anyway, my top middle tooth had previously had a black filling in, and the other day while I was eating a crunchy pizza, I heard a crack and half the filling fell out, the tooth is wobbly at the back half and Im really sore. Every time I swallow, I taste a chemical taste and worried about mercury poisoning (if not, what is the taste?) I have to find a dentist on Monday, and wont even have the time off to get it fixed until next Friday, whats the best thing to do until then, is the chemical taste harmless? half the filling is still there.
