My Fear Of The Dentist Has Led Me To Do Something I Regret. Please Help Me Before I Visit The Dentist?

Hello Dr Gambroudes. I was wondering if you could give me any advice. I had a hole in my tooth and being terrified of the dentist I stupidly bought Denseal superior and placed the glass isomer compound in my tooth. Now I want to remove it and visit a dentist. Do you have any idea what will either loosen or dissolve it? I want it removed before I visit the dentist as I don’t want them to know I was so stupid to use it. Any help is really appreciated, thank you.

Hello and thanks for getting in touch. I would just leave the Denseal in your tooth, as you will probably do more harm trying to remove it and your dentist will think no less of you if it is still in your tooth. It’s best that you leave it for your dentist to take care of as you don’t want any further problems to arise. Find a dentist you feel comfortable enough talking too and discussing this problem.
