my dentures don’t fit well and make me feel sick – can I insist that my NHS dentist fit a bridge instead?
Q.
Hi, I lost both my upper front teeth nearly two years ago and have had several removed from further back. I have had two dentures made, both make me feel physically sick and effect me everyday. They hurt constantly and I can’t wait to get home and take them out. Everyone I have spoken to do not have this problem.

I want to go back to my dentist and ask for a dental bridge, which has never been offered to me. I am only 45 and this seriously effects me professionally and personally. I receive NHS dentistry and wonder if I could insist on a bridge.
At my wits end, thank you so much for your help.

You would have to check with your NHS dentist I am not sure of there rules and regulations. Ask your dentist if he can apply for approval for a bridge to be placed.

Last November I had an upper denture made. I wore one denture until February, then the real one was made for me. The first two month were fine. After that I am having problems with them. I cannot keep them in my mouth very long because they make me feel like vomiting.
I went back, he did some adjustments but it did not change for the vomiting feeling. This is not a fun feeling. Is there a solution for this problem. I have had them for quite awhile now.
I got my dentures from the va clinic and every time i wear them or try to eat with them they make me throw up. what causes this?
