my dentist told me that i could not get a bridge in nhs is it true?
Q. Dear all, I’ve just visited a dentist to get a tooth (nr6, i believe) assessed. it a tooth that is broken off almost completely and has only got a slim chance for a crown because of an abses underneath the root, pending a second opinion the dentist told me that I couldn’t get a bridge (the tooth behind it is prepared for a crown) on the NHS.., is it true that I’m not entitled to a bridge per se, and if not, what are the criteria? kind regards,
A. Bridgework can only be placed at the discretion of the dentist you may need to pay privately for this treatment

hi
When is an NHS patient entitled to a white filling treatment?. I asked my dentist today for a white filling instead of a metal one (because the filling she was about to do was a front one and can be easily seen when smiling) but she refused and did a metal one instead.
Thanks
Ruba
