My dentist refered me to an orthodontist for overcrowding

Q. My dentist refered me to an orthodontist for overcrowding. When i went to see the orthodontist he said that I could have braces (train track) on my upper teeth following 2 extractions, as my front teeth are slightly gowing back and the two teeth either side are protruding outwards, i believe he said it was a grade two. He also mentioned that as on my left side the gum has receded due to the tooth protruding and I may or may not require an operation to correct this but would only be able to tell after having the braces on. I was just wondering if youcould advise if any other treatment maybe applipcable so Icould look into it further.

A. There are other options such as invisalign. However it is difficult to tell the severity of the problem. Maybe you should seek a 2nd opinion from an Invisalign accredited dentist to see if you are suitable. details can be found on the invisalign website
