My dentist informs me white crowns are not available on the nhs is this correct
Q. Hi I have been informed by my dentist I need a crown on one of my larger bak teeth as part of it has broken.It has a temporary filling at the moment.My dentist informs me white ones are not available on the nhs and the charge will be £400 plus £96 for a small filling needed on the tooth adjacent on top of the £45.00 paid for the examination and temporary filling.Is this correct
A. Thats sounds about right for straightforward private dental treatment

I had root canal treatment in August and my dentist suggests a crown to protect the tooth. If I am not having any problems with the tooth is this necessary? Also is it possible to have a white crown on the NHS?
