My Dentist Had To Remove My White Filling As It Was Causing Too Much Pain, What Are My Options Now?

Q.
Hello Dr Moore, I had to get fillings at Christmas. One of them was my left upper molar, which was a white filling but was sensitive and I had almost like a shooting pain. So my dentist took the white filling out and used a putty type clay but although its a tiny hole I hate it what can I get done to fill up the whole thing so it looks like a molar again? Also i have staining in the groves of 2 molars but again my dentist said drilling would be involved and I really do not want any more teeth drilled into as I look after my teeth! I like them.just to be perfect basically but without having to go through any unnecessary pain procedures. Any feedback would be great and thank you ever so much for your time.

Hello there, thank you for writing in. I would suggest that you have another white filling. The drilling should be very minimal if the tooth has stopped hurting so try not to worry about that. I hope this helps, best wishes, Andrew.
