My Confidence Is Affected Since Turning Fifty. Can I Fix The Gap In My Teeth Through The NHS?

Q.
Hi, I have really a large gap between my front tooth and the one right of it, also a gap on the left hand side as well as the middle and I really hate it. I am coming up to 53 years young, and need to find out if it’s too late to do anything about, as I have lost a lot of confidence recently, since hitting my fifties and now I hate having my photo taken when I have to smile. It’s really embarrassing for me.   Also, if there is something that can be done, would it cost a lot of money or would it be something I could get through the national health? I look forward to your reply. Kind regards and Thank you for your time.

Hello and welcome, unfortunately cosmetic treatment isn’t available through the NHS but maybe a brace or implants could possibly work for you. Age should not be a factor in this type of procedure. Call your local dentist to see if they can refer you, or do the treatment themselves after a consultation. Thank you.
