My child’s teeth have relapsed after not wearing retainers. Can they be straightened again without braces and how much would it cost?

Q. My child (15) has not been wearing his retainers as they broke. His teeth have started to move a little at the top, what can we do to make them straight again without having a brace fitted which would cost a lot of money,
A. Dear Enquirer, It is vital that after any orthodontic treatment, the teeth are retained in their final position, otherwise they will want to move back to their original position. Please go back to the orthodontist immediately so new retainers can be made, otherwise you may be facing another course of treatment which would be a shame. Hope this helps.
