Q. Hi, I hope you can help. My boyfriend is 25 years old and still has many of his baby teeth in situ. He pulled out a shakey one about 2 months ago but the one underneath -although just poking through gum- has not grown out properly. What can be done to coax it out so that he has no gap? If it does not grow out with time, what treatments are available & are they available on the NHS? He would not want to pay thousands of pounds to fix the problem. Thank you very much Doctor.

He may require orthodontics to coax it out. I afraid this would not be available on the NHS
