My bottom teeth are cramped and overlapping
Q. I am 26 years old and terrified of the dentists but always pluck up the courage to make an appointment every 6 months. My teeth are in a very clean and healthy condition but my problem is my front bottom six teeth are really cramped and over lapping giving me slurred speach. I also have an uneven bite. My top teeth are quite straight apart from one tooth which is twisted to the side. What sort of treatment would i need and how much could it cost. I had a brace when i was younger but hated it so much i removed it after about 2 months (the most regretable decision of my life). Cosmetic dentistrty is the only option for me. Thanks
A. I was not sure whether you were discounting a brace / orthodontic solution as a solution now. There are clear shell systems, Internet Search on Clearstep Orthodontics or Invisalign Orthodontics. Also tooth coloured fixed braces which are less visible & can’t be removed by you in a moments despiritedness might be an option. 6-12 months active treatment then long term retention. Guide price £3000-5000. both upper & lower teeth.
Cosmetically you could veneer the front 6-8 teeth upper and lower. You would need a thorough exam before formulating such a treatment. Guide price £5000 both upper and lower .
The slurred speech needs to be looked at to confirm it is connected and whether it will be improved by one of these types of treatment.
If you would like a complimentary clinical opinion you may book a free consultation if you inform the receptionist of my offer 0121 643 0610

My daughter has just turned 11. She has been to an orthodontic clinic and I was told that she would need to have braces as she has alot of overcrowding. He felt that she was too young to have braces at the moment, He said to leave it for another year or so. I know that you have not seen her but would she be a good candiate for invisalign
