Today we are able to restore most teeth ( provided the root is not fractured ) . In the front of the mouth he may well knock off the filling once in a while and require it replaced. It can be difficlult to give an 8 year old the ideal tretment because they often have difficulty sitting still for the requied amount of time. I’m sure your dentist will be able to provide a suitable restoration for him.
