My 7yr old lost her front tooth when can she have implants?

Q. Good day, i have a 7 yr old daughter, she once had non-hogkins limphoma, and when she was operated her front lower and upper teeth were removed together with the gums which bring out teeth. i want to know whwther she can get implants or not, i once visited one dentist who said she can only can implants at the age of 16, but now she keeps asking me that “when are my teeth going to grow”. i stay in zimbabwe in harare. i’d appreciate your help. concerned dad

A. You need to wait until she has finished growing approx 16 onwards,  she can wear an appliance to fill the gap until she gets older. It will be worth waiting for.

My daughter will be turning 6 in Dec 2010. She cracked both her front teeth when she was still a toddler- about 1 1/2yrs – 2yrsold. The dentist filed them down, but later on she got abcesses on behind the teeth due to root damage.
She had to have root canal under local anaesthetic on all four of her front teeth.
At this stage, they have dientegrated, and are more like little black stubbs. I was advised 2 yrs ago to leave them until they fall out naturally. What should I do?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
