My 5 year old son is loosing his enamel. Is there anything we can do?

Q.
Hi there. My 5 year old son is missing enamel off his 2 front baby teeth. His peers are starting to comment and I do not want him to be teased. Our nhs dentist says nothing can be done and they won’t remove which I understand but is there anything that can be done privately? Can they be painted with anything or treated in any other way to improve the colour. I do not want his confidence shaken at such a young age. I have looked at the pearl drops paint on veneer product but it shouldn’t be used under 7 and I couldn’t see a difference on my teeth so don’t think it will make a difference on his. I thank you in advance for any advice.

I understand your concern, but honestly, treatment for a child at such a young age can be dificult.
He will hopefuly lose these teeth within the next year and his adult teeth will come through.
If the baby teeth are removed prematurely, then the adult teeth may eruipt in a different/crooked angle as the roots of the baby teeth arent there to guide them int place.
Anything cosmetic will be difficult as a 5 year old may not sit still long enough.
I hope this has helped.
Try not to worry.
