My 3 year old needs 4 front teeth removing due to decay, are there any alternatives to this?

Q. Hi My daughter is 3 yrs old and unfortunately has tooth decay. She has some hypo plasty teeth. My NHS practice referred her to the Herts Special Care Dental Service who have recommended that she should have the teeth extracted which includes the front 4. I am quite upset about it and would like a second opinion as she has some non decaying teeth which surely should be sealed but I’d never heard of that or been offered it and is there anyway her front 4 teeth can be saved ? Also they have told me to use an adult toothpaste not a childs one which i tryed this morning and she was crying due to the fact its far stronger so hurt he tongue. Which is the best toothpaste for me to use ? Please help. thanks

A. This is very sad and I am sorry that you and your daughter are going through this. If you want a second opinion I would recommend you consult a child specialist ( paedodontist). I know of a very kind paedodontist at Moor Park Dental Practice. This would be private but hopefully your funds will at least allow you to get a second opinion
