Q. My 2 yr old daughter fell and broke on of her front teeth. Can it be replaced and if not why? i took her to her dentist and she will have it extracted in a week, but he said she can’t have it replaced..my question is if not, why??
A. Baby teeth can not be re implanted because they could cause damage to the developing adult tooth which is growing in the gum. if the tooth that came out was an adult tooth your dentist would have re implanted it. Your daughters new adult tooth will erupt between 4-6 years old but it will have to be monitored to make sure it is healthy as sometimes these kinds of accidents can affect them.
