my 2 front teeth are crooked

Q. I was curious about if something could be fixed, my 2 front teeth are crooked, one’s slightly in front of the other an it’s annoying me now. I’m wondering about cost too, i seen it say £3000-6000 but i’m only on benefits at the moment but i’m guessing that can’t help with something like this? Thanks Damien

A. Crooked teeth can be treated in 2 ways. Either a brace is fitted to move the teeth into their correct position  - we charge in the region of £3400 for this type of treatment, or the teeth can be veneered or crowned to realine the teeth with restorations - the typical cost in my surgery is in the region of £8000 to £10000 .  The first choice should always be the brace option but often patients have the second option as this allows us to completely reshape the teeth and whiten someones smile within a few weeks.  the down side is that this is an irreversible procedure and once undertaken the restorations will need to be replaced in time.
