Q. My 16 year old needs braces to straighten his teeth but the dentist the school refered him to say its cosmetic and we have to go private and we cannot afford to pay full amount my son gets bullied over his teeth and he is very upset can you send me some advice
A. My advice would be to tell your dentist your son gets bullied if your dentist does not refer you to an orthodontist you can contact your local orthodontists directly and I am sure they will see you. Please let me know how you get on and if you are having trouble I may be able to help you get an orthodontist appointment.

i get bullied as my teeth stick out and i cant afford braces n if i could i no i would still get bullied because of the braces.
Hi, i’m sorry to hear your son gets bullied. I’m 19, and I was bullied also so I understand something needs to be done. Maybe if you take him to a doctor they may diagnose him with depression and then this would be a medical reason? The doctor may even do a referal? I have no idea but this was just a thought. x
